Current Facilitators
Members of our Network of Haven Facilitators have completed training and have permission to use Haven Course Materials and Resources to run Haven Schools Courses and Local Groups in their communities.
How do you persuade anxious teenagers to come to a new place, with new people to try a new thing? Recognising this significant barrier to participants trying Haven Local groups, we reached out to our long-term allies, Step, and have worked closely with their team to develop the Haven Schools Course. Step provides Christian input and teaching in 15 secondary schools, in the St Albans and Harpenden area, and to date Haven has been provided in most of those schools.
Young Life International starts with caring adults who spend time building bridges of authentic friendship with young people - where they are, as they are. Through a presence in schools, clubs and discussion groups, Young Life works to support young people through all the trials of growing up, as well as sharing God’s love. teams are being trained to deliver The Haven Schools Course in their schools, in order to empower young people with practical strategies to manage and reduce problematic anxiety. YLI Director for UK & Ireland, Sonia Mahwhinney says “As we all emerge from Covid, we're excited about how The Haven can help us support and equip teenagers to deal with the many demands of family life, friendships and schooling.”
